Updates! Updates! Hear All About 'Em!

Hey Everyone! After the landslide victory on the last post, you've got John here, back on the blog and boy do I have some updates for you. So buckle up and get ready for some fun.

Website Updates

To start us off, if this is your first time visiting our website, welcome! We're happy you're here. If this isn't your first time, you may have noticed that our website has some additions and I sure am proud of them. I may not be a graphic designer, but I am going to toot my own horn, because I think I did a pretty good job. For those of you asking, "What's new on the site?" I would encourage you to check out our Discover drop down where you will now find a dedicated page for Mythic Gems.

Mythic Gems Funded!

That brings me to my next update...MYTHIC GEMS WAS SUCCESSFULLY FUNDED ON KICKSTARTER! Now, if you've been following along on social media, saw on Kickstarter, talked to us in person, or looked around on our website, you would have most likely already known this, but this is the first time we're talking about it in a blog post. And don't worry, we will be dedicating another, full, blog post to some of our lessons learned on Kickstarter and also share some takeaways, so stay tuned. But for now, I'll keep it simple and just say again how grateful and excited we are (if it wasn't clear from the ALL CAPS text at the start of this paragraph). Now, what does being successfully funded mean? It means that we had enough people want a copy of Mythic Gems that we were able to raise enough funds to help us cover the cost of manufacturing the game. And about a week ago we kicked off the manufacturing of Mythic Gems so we could bring the game to life. We'll be sending out additional updates about the manufacturing process on Kickstarter so all our backers can follow along with our progress.

BackerKit

Next update! We opened a preorder store for Mythic Gems through a company called BackerKit. Check it out here: https://mythicgems.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders. If you or any friends were late to the Kickstarter train and still wanted to preorder a copy of the game, you can head over to BackerKit to do just that. We are also using BackerKit paired with Kickstarter to collect the necessary shipping information for fulfillment. TNT Creative Gaming Facebook Page

The people have spoken and we have listened. During our Kickstarter campaign our main form of social media was Instagram...and maybe TikTok, but you'd have to ask Ben how that's doing. We heard from some of our backers that it would be nice to find us on Facebook as well as Instagram, so without further ado, I bring you our Facebook Page. We have a whopping 4 followers so give us a follow and you could be lucky number 5!

Magazine Features

No big deal, but Ben and I are kind of famous. We were written about in not 1, but 2 magazines!! The first article is shown below and it's from Milwaukee Magazine. You can click the picture and it will take you to the online article. The next magazine we were featured in was Whitefish Bay Living. Now unfortunately, if you don't live in Whitefish Bay, WI, you probably won't be able to see this article, but boy did it feel cool having friends reach out saying they saw us in one of these magazines. As we let the fanfare sink in and die down, we'll jump to the last update!

What's Coming Next?

Thank you for making it this far in the blog post. As a reward, I'm going to let you in on what's coming next. More website updates are coming to the new Mythic Gems page! We're going to be adding a "How to Play" video, a breakdown of the Action Tokens, and an FAQs section. Aside from website updates, we'll be keeping everyone up to date on the manufacturing process, when we will be locking down BackerKit surveys, and when you can expect to receive your very own copy of Mythic Gems.
